Introduction
My first degree is in mathematics-engineering, and my second is in economics: Master of Business Administration (MBA). I earned my Ph.D. in 2000.
Since my university student years, I have been working as a researcher at the HUN-REN Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), where I am currently the Head of the Intelligent Processes Research Group.
I have been working at John von Neumann University in Kecskemét since 2015, partly as one of the developers of the economics program, and currently serve as the Vice Dean for Science of the Faculty of Economics and the Head of the Department of Management and Business Law.
My goal is to participate in the entire value chain:
- Education: My main goal at the university is the effective transfer of my knowledge to students, preparation of project assignments, BSc and MSc theses, and the involvement of students in research (according to the topics below), and leading Scientific Student Circle (TDK) works and Ph.D. studies.
- Basic Research: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, feature selection, multi-criteria optimization, handling of missing data, design of experiments.
- Applied Research: Application-specific adaptation of artificial intelligence techniques, primarily in the fields of finance, manufacturing, energy, automotive industry, and brain research.
- Innovation, Development: Creation of innovations, demonstration tools, prototypes, and patents.
- Market Applications: Market exploitation based on research, development, and innovation results.
- Science Management: Participation, and occasionally a leading role, in international and domestic scientific organizations. Popularization and communication of science.
