Dr. Barbara Jenes

Introduction

Between 2006 and 2021, I taught various marketing subjects at Corvinus University of Budapest, where I wrote my doctoral dissertation on the topic of country brand value measurement and earned my doctoral (PhD) degree in 2013.

I joined the Economic Geography and Settlement Marketing Centre at John von Neumann University in 2021 as an instructor-researcher, and then as a part-time instructor on February 1, 2022. Since March 1, 2024, I have been the Head of Department and an Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing and Business Communication.

In addition to my university career, I worked as a consultant and strategic planner, and later as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for a group of companies, including Team Red, Young&Rubicam, Ogilvy, Geometry, VMLY&R, and VML agencies, working on numerous leading telco, FMCG, automotive, retail, pharmaceutical, and other brands. Currently, I am responsible for the marketing and communication strategy of international and domestic brands as a strategic expert consultant for several multinational companies.

Professional Expertise, Awards

Starting in 2008, I assisted in the organization of the Students' Scientific Conference (TDK) at Corvinus University of Budapest, initially as a section secretary, then as the secretary of the Faculty Students' Scientific Council (TDT) for the Faculty of Business Administration, and as a member of the University Students' Scientific Council (ETDT). I am a regular jury member of the National Students' Scientific Conference.
