We welcome you to our website on behalf of the employees of the Department of Finance and Accounting!

I often encounter the student attitude that accounting is difficult, that they will struggle to manage it, and that it is, in any case, a "dry" discipline. Teaching is useful when it discusses the main principles of a given area clearly, relying on examples taken from business life. It is the shared conviction of my colleagues and me that the subjects taught by the department—ranging from courses introducing the fundamentals of corporate finance to various accounting specializations—are not only useful but also interesting! That is, if they are taught well! This is precisely what we strive for, and while doing so, we do everything we can to ensure that our students acquire reliable knowledge.

It is helpful in this endeavor that the vast majority of the department's staff members participate in international research programs, have many years of experience working in higher education, and are also present in the economic and business world. Thus, we see the problems of economic actors not only from the perspective of an educator but also from that of a market professional. At the same time, we are delighted that the younger generation is ready to take over the baton, allowing us to place emphasis on replenishing our teaching staff.
